These Installation Instructions describe the essential steps for using this product. Please also observe the relevant standards and guidelines, in particular the occupational health and safety regulations.
Installation should not be carried out if there is a risk of storms.
1
Installation:
Floradrain® FD 60 neo elements are laid with the openings for diffusion (four holes per stud) facing upwards. The FD 60 neo elements are laid in a bonded pattern and have connecting seams all around. The elements should be laid in such a way that the larger seam lies on top of the smaller one. This results in a determined laying direction, which must be maintained throughout the entire installation. Arrows are stamped on the edges to indicate the laying direction.
After laying, the drainage elements must be covered immediately (UV protection!) and secured against blowing away. If the actual Superimposed / extra load does not follow immediately, the latter can be done by filling with water for a short time.
If Floradrain® slabs are used under greenery, the elements are always infilled with a bulk material, preferably Zincolit® Plus. Under concrete slabs, the Floradrain® elements are infilled with hard stone chippings (grain size ≤ 8 mm).
2
Cutting:
The drainage elements can be cut with a standard angle grinder, an electric cutter or a hot wire. When cutting, make sure that the already laid layers are not damaged under any circumstances! If damage does occur, it must be reported and repaired immediately.
The drainage elements above roof outlets must be cut out according to the size of the outlet.
