These Installation Instructions describe the essential steps for using these products. Please also observe the relevant standards and guidelines, in particular the occupational health and safety regulations.
1
Installation:
Connecting Membranes must be permanently secured against slipping at the upper edge area and on rising structural elements using Clamping Profiles.
Clamping Profiles are fastened using suitable screws (max. 8 mm diameter) and appropriate dowels. In order to achieve sufficient contact pressure, all pre-punched holes must be used for fastening.
If the upper edge of the Clamping Profile is not protected from the weather by an overhang strip or wall cladding, the upper edge must be provided with a chamfer of suitable sealant at least 10 mm wide and 6 mm thick. These sealant chamfers must be maintained regularly.
2
Cutting:
The Clamping Profiles can be cut with an angle grinder. When cutting, beware of flying sparks (fire hazard, risk of injury, etc.). It is also important that the sharp edges are deburred after cutting. When cutting, care must be taken to ensure that the waterproofing of the roof is not damaged under any circumstances. If damage does occur, it must be reported and repaired immediately.
