Installation:
As a general rule, an Inspection Chamber is required above every roof outlet. This is installed directly on top of an Elastodrain® EL 202 - Support Board for, which is placed with the studs facing upward.
Exception: If the roofing system is constructed using Stabilodrain® SD 30, the EL 202 - Support Board for is laid on the protective mat with the studs facing down.
The rectangular cutout in the support ring is always positioned above the outlet. Any membranes underneath must be cut out to match the diameter of the outlet.
The Filter Sheet is guided over the support flange of the Inspection Chamber.
If extension pieces are used, remove the upper manhole section with the metal grate / grid for installation, place a maximum of three extension pieces on top, and then replace the manhole section. Remove the metal grate / grid to perform the screw fixing. If using one extension piece, please use the screws that were previously used to secure the upper and lower manhole sections together. If using two and/or three extension pieces, please use the enclosed 100 mm screws.
When applying the substructure of crushed stones (gravel base layer) or the chippings bedding, ensure that the Inspection Chamber does not experience slippage and remains positioned directly above the roof outlet.

The Inspection Chamber should be opened regularly to inspect the outlet below. Remove any debris to ensure proper functionality.
Important:
The Inspection Chamber cannot be cut to size. However, the metal grate / grid can be cut out, e.g., for pipe penetrations. This is best done using a standard angle grinder with a metal cutting disc. After cutting, the sharp edges must be deburred, and the cut edges must be protected against corrosion, e.g., with cold-galvanizing spray.
