Support brackets TSH 80 / TSH 100 can be used for roof slopes ≥ 10°
(does not comply with DIN 18195, DIN 18531 and guidelines for flat roof construction).
Use only with non-pressing water as defined by DIN 18195.
Preliminary remarks:
The installation and sealing of the TSH 80 / TSH 100 varies depending on the sealing material used.
Normally, installation is carried out on wooden rafters made of solid wood, solid structural timber (KVH) or similar suitable substrates. The rafter width should be at least 75 mm. The TSH 80 / TSH 100 is installed in the center.
When installing in timber formwork or thick timber, the installer must procure suitable fasteners. The required material thickness of the shuttering must be observed depending on these fasteners. The choice of fasteners must meet the requirement of a load on the TSH 80 of at least 1.5 kN or TSH 100 of at least 3 kN.
Installation steps for TSH 80 / TSH 100 Eaves Support Brackets:
- Measure and mark the installation positions.
- Install TSH 80 / TSH 100 correctly at the marked position using the 3 or 4 Spax screws or similar. Ensure that the screws are perpendicular to the roof slope.
- Cut to size from the waterproofing membranes used.
Waterproofing of the roof with bitumen and polymer bitumen:Apply a primer to
TSH in the waterproofing area. Bitumen and polymer bitumen membranes must be laid with at least two layers in accordance with the regulations. The overlap of the 1st layer must extend at least 8 cm beyond the TSH, the 2nd layer must also be welded with at least 8 cm overlap beyond the 1st layer. For single-layer bitumen waterproofing, proceed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Waterproofing of the roof with plastic or elastomer membranes:
The size of the cut of the waterproofing membrane must be such that it can be professionally welded by hand in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Notice:
No waterproofing membranes laminated with separating or protective fleece on the underside may be used.
Recommendation:
Fill the gap between the TSH and the loose waterproofing membrane above with a suitable spray material (e.g. silicone).
Finally, check all weld seams of the waterproofing cuts.
