Installation of Inspection and Irrigation Chamber KB 30
Before installing the KB 30 Inspection and Irrigation Chamber, the flanges of the inspection chamber must be pulled out in the direction of the arrow until they click into place. The KB 30 is then placed directly on the protective layer at the existing water connection. If extension pieces (KSA 8 or KSA 20) are used, the cover, lid of the Inspection Chamber is removed for installation, the required number of extension pieces are fitted and the cover, lid is placed back on the Inspection Chamber (max. height approx. 60 cm). A gravel strip approximately / approx. 30 cm wide is placed around the Inspection Chamber. This prevents slippage and the ingrowth of plants and provides a visual marker. The water supply must be connected to the pre-assembled inlet valve via a ½" hose or pipeline. A permissible minimum flow pressure of approximately 1.0 bar, max. permissible water pressure approximately / approx. 6.0 bar, must be observed.
Installation of interlocks / locking set
When using a set of interlocks / locking set, this is installed in the finger holes of the cover, lid. To do this, the nuts on the back of the locking set are unscrewed, the locks are inserted from above through the respective hole and aligned so that the quarter turn of the locking mechanism engages the edge of the Inspection Chamber. Finally, the nuts are refitted from the underside and tightened.
Maintenance
The Inspection Chamber should be opened regularly as part of the care and maintenance of a greening system and the float mechanism checked. Debris must be removed to ensure proper functioning.
