Installation Instructions

These Installation Instructions describe the essential steps for using this product. Please also observe the relevant standards and directives, in particular the occupational health and safety regulations.

Laying under asphalt surfaces:

The heat resistant Membrane is preferably used under asphalt pavements in semi-rigid construction or under mastic asphalt. It is laid loosely with approximately / approx. 20 cm overlapping on the already waterproofing / sealing roof. The Membrane can also be raised slightly at rising edges of roof / perimeter and structural elements. Elastodrain® EL 202 slabs are laid on top (see Elastodrain® EL 202 Installation Instructions). A second layer of TVH 200 Separation Sheet heat-resistant fleece is laid on top. The asphalt base layer and the asphalt surface layer are laid directly on top of this. It should be noted that the asphalt base layer is laid by hand with static compaction.

When laying mastic asphalt as a trafficable / can be driven over layer, the bottom layer should not be thicker than 6-8 cm and should be left for 0.5-1.0 hours before laying the next layer(s).

To protect against UV radiation and blowing away, the Membrane must be covered immediately after laying.

Cutting:

The Membrane can be cut using a cutter knife (with a hard blade) or sturdy universal scissors. When cutting, make sure that the already laid layers are not damaged under any circumstances! If damage does occur, it must be reported and repaired immediately.

The Membrane must be cut out over roof outlets according to the size of the outlet.
