Zinco System Substrate Roof Garden loose in bulk material, incl. freight
Depending on the dumping height / coverage height, this proven standard substrate for intensive greening is particularly suitable for planting demanding perennial herbs / shrubs, taller shrubs and trees.
Substrate produced on the basis of Zincolit® Plus (specially prepared clay tiles / clay bricks with selected additives) and other components such as sandy soil, enriched with Zincohum (mature compost with fibre material). Particularly suitable for intensive greening with more demanding perennials or, with higher substrate heights (for substrate heights of > 35 cm, the Zincolit® Plus sub-substrate must also be used), also for shrubs and trees. The vegetation is established using root ball plants. Intensive greening should be watered at least during prolonged dry periods. For species-appropriate plant development, we recommend our slow release fertilizer Zinco Plantfit® 4 M (see separate data sheet). Under constant control of the special laboratory for plant nutrition Labor Dr. Meyer-Spasche according to the FLL green roof guidelines. Available in Big Bags and as open goods. A compression index / compacting factor of 1.45 must be used in the calculation, i.e. 14.5 l must be ordered per square meter and cm of System Substrate / Substrate Soil / Growing Medium to be installed.

Substrate application:
Depending on the size, accessibility and load bearing capacity of a roof surface, one of the substrate application methods listed below will be particularly suitable.
With all methods, care must be taken to ensure that the roof surface is not statically overstressed at any point (e.g. by System Substrate / Substrate Soil / Growing Medium mounds)! Boards or Big Bags may therefore only be placed on a stable substrate.
Big Bag:
Big Bags are suitable for medium and large areas where a construction or mobile crane is available. The Big Bags are attached to the crane with all four loops and can be emptied directly on the roof surface by opening the discharge valve without setting them down. A coarse distribution can already be carried out by slewing the boom. Leveling is then carried out with the rake.
Silo trailers:
The System Substrate "Sedum Carpet" can be "blown" directly from appropriate vehicles onto roof areas. This method is particularly suitable for large areas or areas that cannot be reached by crane. With this method, the System Substrate / Substrate Soil / Growing Medium can be distributed well during application, but care must be taken to protect sensitive structural elements (front walls / facades, skylight domes, ...) against any debris that may occur.
Open product:
Open goods are suitable where the System Substrate / Substrate Soil / Growing Medium can be applied using flexible bulk containers. By swiveling the crane boom, a flexible bulk container can be used to coarse-spread the System Substrate / Substrate Soil / Growing Medium during application
