Quick-to-lay, fleece-backed protection, drainage and water storage membrane for use under extensive green roofs.
Protection, drainage and water storage membrane made of thermoformed polyolefin, mainly PE, with attached filter sheet, protruding laterally on one-sided, can be connected via snap-in studs on the long sides, with diffusion openings, compatible with bitumen, max. compressive load approx. 50 Nm/sq. Max. pressure approx. 50 kN/sqm, drainage performance tested according to DIN EN ISO 12958, Weight approx. 1.0 kg/m², as a component of a system structure with Environmental Product Declaration EPD and CE marking via ETA No. 13/0668 "Kit for Green Roofs".

These Installation Instructions describe the essential steps for using this product. Please also observe the relevant standards and guidelines, in particular the occupational health and safety regulations.
Installation should not be carried out if there is a risk of storms.
IMPORTANT: Rolls that have been standing in the sun can heat up differently, which can cause the freshly rolled out sheets to lie slightly curved. For this reason, leave the sheets for a short time before joining them together.
Before starting installation, the protective mat trimming SM-R should be used to protect the waterproofing of the roof in the area of the fold-up / upstands; XD 20 takes over the protective function in the area itself.
Laying:
Lay over the entire surface with approximately / approx. 3 cm overlapping so that the connecting studs on the long sides can be pressed into each other, always ensuring that the fleece-laminated side is on top. The one-sided fleece overlap covers the membrane joint.
To protect against UV radiation and blowing away, the Drainage Mat XD 20 must be covered after installation.
Cutting:
The Drainage Mat can be cut with a cutter knife (with a hard blade) or a hot wire. When cutting, make sure that the already laid layers are not damaged under any circumstances! If damage does occur, it must be reported immediately.
Above roof outlets, the Drainage Mat must be cut to the size of the opening of the Inspection Chamber to be installed above it.
