The Retention Run-off Limiter Set RDS consists of the Retention Run-off Limiter RD and an Inspection Chamber KS. The Retention Run-off Limiter RD is to be positioned above the flat roof drain and is held against slipping by its dead load. The water permeability can be set and adjusted using the scale on the top-mounted restrictor element. To do this, turn the fixing flange to the left or right to increase or decrease the opening of the water permeable element. The overflow height must be measured on site and adjusted from 30 mm to 100 mm using an overflow pipe. The flow-rate and overflow height are set in accordance with the drainage planning. An Inspection Chamber must be placed above each Retention Run-off Limiter RD. Before installation, the flanges of the Inspection Chamber must be pulled out in the direction of the arrow until they click into place. The Filter Sheet is laid over the Inspection Chamber and cut out so that the slots of the Inspection Chamber remain free but the two flanges are covered. The size of the opening to be cut out is just under 30 cm x 30 cm. If extension pieces are used, the cover, lid of the Inspection Chamber must be removed before installation, the required number of extension pieces fitted and the lid replaced on the Inspection Chamber (max. height approximately / approx. 60 cm). A gravel strip approximately / approx. 30 cm wide is placed around the Inspection Chamber. This prevents slippage and the ingrowth of plants and provides a visual marker
