These Installation Instructions describe the essential steps for using this product. Please also observe the relevant standards and guidelines, in particular the occupational health and safety regulations. Installation should not be carried out if there is a risk of storms.
1
Installation:
Retention Spacer RS 60 elements are laid with the ventilation openings (one hole per stud) facing upwards. The RS 60 elements are laid in a bonded pattern and have connecting seams all around. The elements must be laid in such a way that the smaller seam lies in the larger one. This results in a determined laying direction, which must be maintained throughout the entire installation. Arrows are stamped on the edges to indicate the laying direction.
The RS 60 elements must be covered immediately after installation (UV protection!). To prevent the elements from blowing away, it is advisable to weigh them down with substrate bags, for example.
2
Cutting:
The elements can be cut with a standard angle grinder, an electric cutter or a hot wire. When cutting, make sure that the already laid layers are not damaged under any circumstances! If damage does occur, it must be reported and repaired immediately.
The RS 60 elements must be cut out over roof outlets in accordance with the outlet size.
