Product: Zinco Retention Spacer "RSX 100"
Unit: m²
Order Nr.: 3403
Installation:
The RSX retention spacers are installed side by side on a protective layer, such as the PV Filter Sheet, on a roof with a root resistant waterproofing system and a roof construction.
The spacers must be secured against slipping with four connectors per element. Special connectors are available for this purpose, which are inserted into the recesses of the RSX spacers. In this case, staggered installation is not possible.
After installation, the RSX elements must be covered immediately (UV protection!). To prevent the elements from being blown away, it is advisable to weigh them down, e.g., with sand or substrate bags . If the RSX spacers are installed in a continuous run with a length of 30 m or more, a 50 mm wide expansion joint must be incorporated.
Cutting:
The elements can be cut using a standard angle grinder, an electric cutter, or a hot wire. All RSX spacers can only be separated from one another at the connecting webs; otherwise, the element becomes too unstable. When cutting, care must be taken to ensure that the layers already installed are not damaged under any circumstances. Should damage occur, it must be reported and repaired immediately. The RSX elements must be cut out around roof outlets according to the outlet size.
