Fitting the solar mounting profile to the Solar Base Frame

Hammer-head bolts and M 10 flange nuts / locking nuts are required to attach the solar mounting profiles to the Solar Base Frame.

Push the hammer-head bolt through the Solar Base Frame. Slide the mounting profile onto the screw and fasten with the flange nut / locking nut (tightening torque 20 Nm). A ratchet is useful here. Repeat this process at all points. Slide the Profile Connector into the narrow side of the mounting profile. Make sure that the hammer-head screws are correctly seated in the mounting profile.
Installing the Profile Connector

The joints of the SMP 38/33 can be connected using four-hole Profile Connectors. Slide the Profile Connector into the narrow side of the mounting profile. Make sure that the hammer-head screws are correctly seated in the mounting profile.

Slide the other rail onto the protruding connector. Tighten all screws firmly (12 Nm).
Notice:
- Rails can be sawn with a chop saw and suitable saw blade.
- Maximum distance SGR 1.95 m with 75 kg/m² snow load.
- Maximum overhang of solar mounting profile 45 cm
- Maximum overhang of solar module 35 cm
Installation of end clamps

Framed photovoltaic modules can be attached to the SMP 38/33 using the variable middle or end clamps. Two end clamps are required for one module side. The end clamps are attached to the width side of the mounting profile. Clamp the notch with the rubber to the edge of the rail and press forward until the clamp engages.

The photovoltaic module is pushed under the clamps and these are then tightened slightly. The Middle clamps are then hooked into the rail on the other side, see next steps.
Installing the Middle clamps

Two Middle clamps are required per module joint. The Middle clamps are for two modules lying next to each other. The Middle clamps are attached to the width side of the mounting profile. Place the notch with the rubber on the edge of the rail and press forward until the clamp engages.

Mount and align the solar modules. Tighten all screws to 6 to 9 Nm.
Installation of length compensation connector (optional)

To allow for thermal linear expansion of the aluminum profiles, expansion joints with a width of 15 mm should be formed every 12-18 m.
Push the length compensation connector into the narrow side of the rail. Only push the connector halfway and tighten the two screws firmly (6 Nm).

Slide the second rail onto the protruding connector (see table for installation gap). The length compensation connector is only screwed fixed on one side.
| Temperature | Mounting gap |
